Stronger Than Your Enemies part 6

Ministering: Pastor E.A Adeboye

Topic: Victory Through Praise

Text: Psalms 18:2 John 4:23-24

Psalm 18:1-3  I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.  3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies

God loves praise and He is never tired of being praised; even sacrificially

Psalm 22:3 – God dwells in praise. You could say if you take praise away from HIM there would be a problem. When you get home read Revelation 19:1-6 Isaiah 6:1-6 – God loves praise. Rev 5:11-14 – There are thousands of thousands Angels praising God combined with all creatures in heaven praising God.

Proverbs 15:8 – God does not want a praise coming from the wicked

God doesn’t want the praise of a sinner; it’s an abomination to Him. When you belong to the devil and you are praising God you are mocking Him-Psalms 7:11, Acts 16:16-18. If you have not given your life to Christ don’t praise God.

If you are not yet born again and want to praise God, surrender your life to Him.

Praise draws God like magnet draws iron John 4:23-24 – God is seeking for worshipper. When you praise God He will draw closer to you.

Psalms 97:3 If only you can praise God to the level He can stand up, your problems will be over.

Before the end of this month there will be no enemy left in your life

Psalm 23:5 – He can make sure your enemy cannot move. Exodus 14:13-20

God could arrest your enemy so that they will never be able to trouble you again 2Kings 8:8-23

How do I get God to draw near?

Just follow the example of the Juju musicians. The musician will come before the dancing begins to get your names. When they begin to play they call you by your name and names you don’t even bear. As he begins to call your names something within you begins to tell you to standup and spend the naira.

How do I get God to standup for me, I begin to call him names – Gen 17:1 – All sufficient God. I am the I am that I am – Exodus 3:14

God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob – Exodus 3:15. He is the Most High – Psalm 91:1. He is the one who is Higher than the highest – Ecclesiastes 5:8 He is the one who sit enthroned above – Isaiah 66:1 He is the Holy one of Israel – Psalm 71:22. Psalm 18:1-2 David said He is my Rock, my Fortress, my Deliverer, my Strength, my Hightower.

Action: Eulogize God in your own words. Praise HIM. Call HIM by HIS name.
