65TH ANNUAL CONVENTION HOLYGHOST SERVICE SERMON

PRAYER: Father, from now on let Halleluyah be permanent in my mouth.

Father, fill the mouth of neighbor with continuous Halleluyah

TOPIC: HALLELUYAH

TEXT: REV. 19: 5-6 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Halleluyah means praise the Lord. And the Lord said everyone should praise. In any congregation there will always be three categories of people. There would be those who had just lost a battle, there would those who would be in a terrific battle and there would be those who had just won. Psalm 47:1 says O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph

THOSE WHO HAD JUST LOST A BATTLE: Just like Bishop Oyedepo said, if you had lost something it is God that has not allow you lose everything.

Reason why those who had just lost a battle should praise the Lord is because there is hope Ecclessiates 9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. Psalm 150: 6. Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

If you are still living you should be praising God because so far there is life there is hope. Judges 16:18-22, Job 19:25

THOSE IN THE MIDST OF A BATTLE: Suppose you are in the midst of the battle and it’s fierce. When you are fighting a battle and you know you cannot win the wisest thing to do is to look for someone who can help you win a battle. Praise God. 2 Chronicles 20: 1-25 Psalm 24:7-10 Psalm 50:23 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] conversation [aright] will I shew the salvation of God.

THOSE WHO HAD JUST WON A BATTLE: If you had just won a victory you have to praise the Lord. Exodus 15:1-11, 1 Sam 2:1-10

That should be the natural thing to do but human beings are not like that. The human nature prefer to remember bad things, that is why David tells his soul to remember Psalm 103:1-2.

Human beings don’t praise God after a victory; they seem to forget life is a series of battle. You win a battle, get ready for another. 1 Sam 17: 34-55.

How come David kept winning? He said Psalm 34:1 …I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.

Anyone whether you have just lost or you have just been victorious you should be shouting Halleluyah
