Daily Devotional: Misplaced Priority.
Memorise: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV
Read: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.
God has been attending to you in line with your response to his words and counsels. He’s faithful and will never misplace anything good. He sees your heart and weighs your action. He knows depth and sincerity of your love for Him, his work and His people. If you have acted correctly and not by eye-service, you should have seen God in greater dimension. Your duty on earth is to love the Lord and to obey his word without complaints. If God is number one on your priority list, He will respond by moving you up on His own priority list.
Therefore, your scale of preference is of great essence before God. Your choice and desire speaks a lot about how fast you will get divine attention. Who is number one in your life? God or your personal beauty? God or your family? God or your job? Our God is busy in heaven. He has so much to do, so many prayer points to answer and can only visit those who are ready for Him. If God is not your concern, you have your reward already. Jesus in Mathew 6:33 forewarned; But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This the most essential priority in life and until you are faithful in seeking God above other earthly desires, you won’t commit Him to blessing you above others.
Reflections: What position is God in your life? Are you faithful to Him? Let God be your number one desire going forward.
