TOPIC: DESIRE TO HONOUR THE LORD

Memorise: Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. Proverbs 3:9 KJV

Read: 1 Samuel 2:29-30 29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded [in my] habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people? 30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed [that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

There’s nothing about you that is not a function of the grace and blessings of God. God is merciful and gracious to all creatures including you. He has blessed you severally to sustain you on the earth and to ensure you lack nothing good. He’s the owner of your soul and there’s nothing you have received except it was permitted by Him. Therefore your praise and thanksgiving should be to His Holy name and never to yourself. Remember, 1 Samuel 2:9 says, for by strength shall no man prevail. You will do much more than you are doing presently if you will be diligent enough to honour God as commanded.

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.Psalm 50:12 KJV

Our God is never hungry neither is he going to lack anything as far as this world is concerned. Each time HE asks you to honour him with your substance or out of the blessings he has released unto you, he’s simply asking you to create room for greater open doors. His commands concerning, tithes, offerings, vows and firstfruits are your gateways to unending blessings and breakthroughs. Each time you obey the call to honour God, you automatically open ways for you to become a honourable on the earth. Don’t spend what belongs to God and in the process become a robber. Obey the principles of tithing and get relived from earthly burdens and the curses therein. Take out the best from your store houses and give to the Lord honourably. As you heed this heavenly command, I see the Lord opening new chapter of blessings for you in Jesus name.

Reflections: Are you truly honouring God with all that He has given you? How faithful are you in giving to God and the less privileged? Be faithful to God and you will never fail on the earth.
