TOPIC: AVOID WORLDLY ENTANGLEMENTS

Memorise: No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:4 KJV

Rea: 2 Timothy 2:3-5  3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, [yet] is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

The devil will stop at nothing in his bid to get more soul to hell. His mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy and that’s all he’s doing. Therefore be sober and be vigilant. Guard your crown with all diligence so that the enemies of your faith will not corrupt the good gifts you have received from the Lord. Your life must make a lot of sense to you, not just about this life but because you will exit the life here unto eternal life with God. There’s need therefore for caution so as to make it to heaven at last. You will never a candidate of hell in Jesus name.

The design of the devil for this end time is to create countless distractions and entanglements in order to gain the attention of the believers. Many things won’t worth it at the end of the day and so many things people are holding unto tenaciously are without kingdom values. You need daily evaluation of your goings to be sure you are not unnecessarily engaged in adventures that will take God away from your future. Every engagement and relationship or task that are not of God will eventually separate you from the counsel and will of the Almighty. You need sound doctrine to live as a winner on the earth. You will also require thorough discipline to remain a disciple to the end. God will not spare you if you are truly ready to make heaven at last. He will allow you to go through the needful trainings and hardness just to get the best out of your life. Be ready to go all length with Christ. Separate yourself from evil communications and begin to look unto Jesus who is also the Author and Finisher of your faith. May your heart not be stolen by the devil through lust and worldliness in Jesus’ name.

Reflections: Examine your life this morning, are you truly a disciple of Jesus? Are you walking in His steps!
